Below is a list of suppliers that I used when I was restoring my 1967 Bantam Cub.

I have no affiliation or association with any of these suppliers. The list is provided to help others who are restoring Bantam Cubs, Tiger Cubs or indeed any other old British bike. Any comments reflect my own personal experiences - I cannot be held responsible if you have a different experience!

General Triumph & BSA Parts

Greystone Enterprises Kent 01227 861100	New and used parts for all models of Triumph Tiger Cub.	Adrian and Derek are very knowledgable about all aspects of Tiger Cubs. Very helpful and can usually source most parts, even some of the less common components.
Hawkshaw Motorcycles Ltd Liverpool 0151 931 4488	A wide range of spares for many common British bikes including Triumphs and BSAs.	Jim and Chris Hawkshaw are very helpful. Jim in particular has a lot of historical knowledge.
TMS Motorcycles Nottinghamshire 0115 950 3447	General supplier of British spares.	A good range of common components for many British bikes including including Cubs and Bantams.
Burton Bike Bits Leicestershire 01530 564362	General supplier of British spares.	A very wide range of parts for most British bikes.
Bournemouth Bantams Dorset 01202 516438	New and used parts for all models of BSA Bantam.	Kevin is very helpful and knowledgable about Bantams. Good source of cycle parts for Bantam Cubs (Bantam D7) and Super Cubs (Bantam D10).
AMC Classic Spares Hertfordshire 01462 811770	General supplier of British spares.	Despite their name, they do stock some Triumph and BSA parts in addition to their wide range for AJS and Matchless.

Electrical

Auto Electric Supplies Ltd Worcestershire 01584 819552	6v and 12v bulbs, coloured wire, connectors, sleeving, etc.	A great website for new, original-style electrical components for vintage bikes and cars.
Paul Goff Buckinghamshire 01494 868218	6v and 12v halogen headlight bulbs.	The only supplier I have found for 6 volt halogen bulbs which really do make a big difference at night. Great customer service too!
TMS Motorcycles Nottinghamshire 0115 950 3447	General supplier of British spares.	A good range of common electrical components for many British bikes including including Cubs and Bantams.

Exhausts and silencers

Reproduction pipes and components for a wide range of British bikes. At the time, they were the only supplier I found that could provide the T20B downpipe and silencer (different from the standard T20 Cubs.)

Finishing - Paint, Powder Coating & Chrome

ESP Powder Coating Ltd Glasgow 0141 336 3800	Sand blasting and powder coating.	Trevor builds bikes himself. This means he understands the components and that makes communication a lot easier.
Ian Anderson - Powa Paints Station Road Strathaven Lanarkshire ML10 6BE 01357 521079	Custom spray painting and accident repairs for new and old bikes.	Ian specialises in motorbike paintwork. His work is to a very high standard and he has won awards for some of his custom paint jobs. (No website.)
RS Motorbike Paint Yorkshire 0115 950 3447	Supplier of colour matched period bike paints.	Bantam Cubs were supplied in a two-tone blue and white colour scheme of 'Nutley Blue' which is a BSA colour and 'Alaskan White', a widely-used Triumph colour. (Some early publications mention 'Perrivale Blue', but I think that was simply an attempt by Triumph to re-brand Nutley Blue as one of their own colours.) Super Cubs were finished in a BSA red known both as 'Bushman Red' and 'Firecracker Red'. RS can provide modern two-pack paint matched to the original colours.

Fuel Additives

Auto Spares & Accessories eBay Shop	Suppliers of Millers VSP petrol additive.	Modern unleaded fuel can damage the valve seats on old engines. To prevent this you can either machine out the old seats and replace them, or use a fuel additive such as VSP. (There are others on the market as well.)

Handlebar Controls

Draganfly Motorcycles Suffolk 01986 894798	Ariel specialist supplying second-hand Amal levers and twist-grips.	Unlike other Cubs, the Bantam Cubs and Super Cubs used Amal's combined brake-lever and twsit-grip assembly. These are now quite rare parts. However, the same components were used on some Ariel Arrows and Leaders so Ariel specialists can be a good source. Draganfly quite often have the main assemblies in stock while Silent make replacement stainless nuts and screws.

Greystone Enterprises Kent 01227 861100	New and used parts for all models of Triumph Tiger Cub.	It's worth checking with Greystones as well as they sometimes have the combined lever and twistgrip assemblies.

Stainless Fasteners

Quick delivery and very reliable. Can supply a stainless steel version of almost every screw, nut, bolt and washer used on a Tiger Cub.
Acme Stainless Ltd Lincolnshire 01526 861991	Manufacturer of stainless components for Tiger Cubs.	A small company that provides good quality stainless replacements for many parts including cylinder head nuts, wheel nuts, cotter pins, etc.
